Academics

The Academic Program at TCS strives to make students as successful as they can be, no matter what their goal is after high school (college, art school, military, work force). Since we see each student as a unique creation of God, our goal is to teach the whole student through a sound, academic program which supports various modalities of learning. All classes are taught from a Christian perspective and incorporate biblical and Christian worldview.

Our students go to a variety of colleges and universities, and our course offerings and academics support that dream. All of our academic classes are UC approved, and we offer several Honors classes, which prepare students to take the AP test.

As graduation requirements, students must take 4 years of English, Social Science, Math, and Science plus two years of foreign language and one year of Art which provides every student an opportunity to apply to a 4 year college or university.

TCS provides a smaller teacher to student ratio so that students establish rapport with teachers and are able to receive help when they have questions. The faculty work to help students discover and reach their potential and be successful in whatever their future holds.

Trinity Christian School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Association of Christian Schools International. Students come from the surrounding communities of Monterey County and attended by International students from Japan, China, and France. 98 percent of all graduates from TCS go on to colleges across the United States.

Academic Design

  • Through Trinity’s academic and co-curricular programs, we challenge our students to pursue their educational opportunities to the fullest and prepare them for lifelong learning.

  • Trinity’s high school program focuses on preparing its graduates to be Christ-inspired, critical thinkers, creative and conscientious, communicators, compassionate and confident. Also referred to as the 7 Cs.

  • At Trinity we believe that each student is uniquely created for a specific purpose. We have designed our curriculum to assist our students in discovering and developing the skills and talents necessary to fulfill their purpose.

  • Trinity is a Teaching for Transformation (TfT) school. TfT is a design framework for the creation of authentic, formational learning experiences rooted in a transformational worldview. These learning experiences invite, nurture, and empower teachers and students to play their part in God’s story through everyday learning.

  • To graduate students must take 4 years of English, social science, math, and science plus two years of foreign language and one year of art, which provides every student an opportunity to apply to a 4-year college or university. In addition to academics, Trinity requires every student to engage in a minimum of twenty-four hours of community service each year they attend the school, a mandatory requirement for graduation.

  • Trinity has a 100% college acceptance rate. Every student at Trinity that has applied to attend college has been accepted.

  • Trinity is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Association of Christian Schools International.
